D-Ribose
Introduction.:
D-Ribose is an aldopentosea monosaccharide containing five carbon
atoms, and including an aldehyde functional group its linear form.
As a component of the RNA that is used for genetic transcription,
ribose is critical to living creatures. It is related to
deoxyribose, which is a component of DNA. It is also a component of
ATP, NADH, and several other chemicals that are critical to
metabolism.
It is well known that Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) is your body's
primary energy-carrying molecule. Your body needs ribose to make
ATP. ATP levels -- and thus, energy -- drop with intense workouts
and heart disease. These, in turn, may lead to fatigue and muscle
soreness or stiffness. Individuals with fibromyalgia and chronic
fatigue syndrome (CFS) also suffer from sore and cramping muscles
and low energy.
D-Ribose has been shown with positive results, to generate ATP
recovery -- leading to improved health and fitness for people with
cardiovascular problems, athletes who deplete their energy
reserves, and those with fibromyalgia and CFS. Reports have shown
d-ribose can even lower blood sugar levels and is also known to
alleviate altitude sickness and PMS cramping.
Besides above, D Ribose also is a natural anti-anxiety and stress
relief ingredient used to control stress-related eating and
drinking that has the added value of being non-sedating with
potential anti-depressant properties. Ribose is used to generate
ATP (adenosine tri-phosphate). In theory, supplementing your diet
with additional ribose should increase the rate at which ATP is
generated, leading to an improvement in exercise performance and
faster muscle growth.
ATP is constantly being broken down and "recreated". In the
process, it provides energy for every move you make and every
chemical reaction that occurs in human body.
